The design source for this petite Frank Lloyd Wright Ennis House Textile Block Jewelry and Trinket Box draws on Wright's method of construction, unique to his Southern California commissions, known as the Textile Block System, and used in his design of the Ennis House (1923). Individual precast concrete blocks were woven together creating an interlocking construction system. The motif is an adaptation of the Ennis House detailed rectilinear textile block design.
